In 2015 Swiss watch manufacturer HYT launched the magnificent H3 in two variations, the one of a kind Iceberg and the Titanium watch. Today we take a look at the latter. HYT H3 Titanium is a watch without hands. The H3 features a fully linear portrayal of time in a titanium and platinum case measuring 62 mm x 41 mm. To achieve the distinguishing grey color HYT engineers have applied a physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating to the titanium and platinum. After undergoing a micro-blast satin polish the case boast vivid contrasts and a unique design.
The H3 has a screw-down crown draped in rubber. The black alligator strap can be replaced by unscrewing the offset lugs. An asymmetrical sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating display the linear time module, and partly the movement, with no visible constraints, allowing the bearer full visibility even in the poorest light conditions.
If you are considering this exquisite timepiece be aware that the watch is only water resistant to 3 bar or 30 meters. In other words, this is not a suitable divers watch… However, the retrograde fluid hours and minute indicator combined with a power reserve indicator on the case back makes the H3 a true masterpiece and a symbol of progressive Haute Horlogerie.
The HYT H3 is limited to 25 editions. The recommended retail price is $ 290 000.
