Intro – watch
Gerald Genta was one of the brightest modern-day watchmaking geniuses. Genta designed iconic timepieces like the Audemars Piquet Royal Oak Ref. 5402, Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3700 and the 1976 IWC Ingenieur SL. After successfully launching iconic bestsellers for the top Swiss watch manufacturers Gerald Genta began production of his own models, using his renowned name as a trademark.
In 1999 The Hour Glass Group based in Singapore acquired Gerald Genta (the brand). Mr. Genta decided to focus his time on being a designer, but only a few years later Gerald once more began manufacturing his own watches, now under the name “Gerald Charles”. In the summer of 2000 The Bulgari Group (know part of the LVMH - Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group) acquired all the shares of Gerald Genta SA and Daniel Roth SA. Since then Gerald Genta design and watches has been manufactured as a model line of Bulgari watches.
