During the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève (SIHH) 2019 Audemars Piquet released this futuristic black ceramic watch with a hand-wound 2924 tourbillon movement and their latest “Tapisserie Evolutive” patterned dial.
The watch has a diameter of 41 mm and measures 9 mm tall. It displays hours and minutes in addition to the centrally placed open tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The watch case, bezel and bracelet are mainly made out of polished black ceramic, with a few touches of titanium mainly used for screws and the folding clasp.
On the case back there is a power reserve indicator visible through the sapphire crystal covering the movement. The watch has a power reserve of up to 70 hours when fully wound, and is water resistance to 5 bar or 50 meters. The watch is limited to 100 pieces and retails for 156 000 CHF, 137 500 €, 155 500 $.
